Gemeinsam fertigen wir ein eigenes Sitzkissen aus Filz, mit einem traditionellen Muster an, etwa 40 × 40 cm groß. Dabei können wir unsere eigene Farbkombinationen für die dekorativen Fäden auswählen und erfahren, wie man zwei Lagen Filz mit traditionellen Nähtechniken zusammensetzt. Während dem Tun lernen wir über die Bedeutung und den kulturellen Hintergrund der oiratisch-kalmückischen Motive. Der Workshop ist für Erwachsene und Kinder ab acht Jahren geeignet.

In this workshop, we’ll learn the traditional Oirat-Kalmyk method of making decorative felt seats. Together, we’ll create our own felt seat with a traditional pattern, about 40 × 40 cm in size. You can choose your favorite color combinations for the decorative threads, and we’ll explore how to stitch two layers of felt using traditional sewing techniques. Along the way, we’ll also dive into the meaning and cultural background of Oirat-Kalmyk design motifs. The workshop is open to both adults and children from the age of eight.
